THE AGE & GENDER PREDICTOR

The Age & Gender Predictor tool by the World Well-Being Project (WWBP) asks users to consent to privately and temporarily share their Facebook status posts with the app. The app the uses statistical models developed by the WWBP to analyze the text the user posted on Facebook to predict the writer's age and gender simply from the language s/he uses. Christie designed the tool's web interface and worked with researchers and developers at Penn to create it. This demo app was later featured in the Washington Post.
